General
Do you take lane reservations?
Nope, we are first come first served. Walk-ins only!
We do offer full service private events for groups of 20+. All events are required to book with a buffet, drink package & service fee and must be finalized at least 2 weeks in advance. See our Private Event page for details.
What should I expect on a busy night?
Don't worry! Once you arrive, you can check in at the front desk and put your name on the wait list.
There's plenty to do while you're waiting though — arcade games & pool tables, food & drinks, and lounge spaces where your group can hang out before you bowl!
How many lanes will we need?
Each lane holds 6 people max. We always try to seat larger parties on lanes that are next to each other.
On a busy night, we recommend the first person to arrive check in with the front desk to get your group on the waitlist.
How much does it cost to bowl?
$7 per person/per game ($9 on Friday and Saturday night) plus a $6 one-time shoe rental per person.
Bowling is cash only!
Is South Bowl family friendly?
Absolutely! We offer bumpers on every lane as well as bowling ball ramps.
Any minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, all guests under the age of 21 must be out of the building by 8PM
Is South Bowl 21+?
We are 21+ after 8pm every night. All guests under the age of 21 must be out of the building by 8PM.
Is South Bowl BYOB?
No! Due to our liquor license, absolutely NO outside alcohol is allowed in our venue. We have a bar with a full selection of cocktails, mixed drinks and draft & canned beer
Can I bring a cake or cupcakes?
No! Due to our food & beverage license, we cannot allow any outside food in the venue
Can I bring outside food, snacks, or drinks?
No! Due to our food & beverage license, we cannot allow any outside food or beverages in the venue
Can I bring party decorations?
A few balloons or small party favors are totally cool! Please do not bring any confetti or other decor that will make a mess or damage our property. Our staff thanks you!.
Can I bring my own bowling ball?
Of course, but we cannot be responsible for a forgotten or damaged ball.
How do I join a league?
Fill out a League Inquiry Form to contact our league manager.

How do I get to South Bowl?
We are located at 19 E Oregon Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19148 - In South Philly, on the corner of Oregon Avenue & Swanson Street (one block East of Front Street)
SEPTA: Broad Street Line to Oregon Avenue stop, take bus 7/63 east to Swanson & Oregon
Driving: Take exit 19 off I-95 South
Take Packer Avenue exit off I-95 North
Take exit 351 off I-76 West (right after Walt Whitman Bridge)
Take exit 350 off I-76 East
Less than 2 miles from Sports Complex & Live! Casino & Hotel
Where can I park?
We have a large parking lot to the North side of the building and a smaller lot to the South. There is also plenty of free street parking around the venue!

How do I book a private event?
Fill out an Event Inquiry to get in touch with our events department. All events must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance, for groups of 15 or more.

House Rules
21+ after 8pm every night.
All guests under the age of 21 must be out of the building by 8pm
No outside food or drink of any kind is allowed in the venue.
All guests much wear bowling shoes while bowling.
Sneakers, boots, sandals or any other footwear are not allowed to be worn on the bowling approach.
